Abstract

This article, previously published in Volume 25 Issue 7 of this journal in July 2026, has been retracted in line with the guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE, http://publicationethics.org/ resources/guidelines).

Several weeks after publication, we received a correspondence from someone who wished to remain anonymous, claiming that the authors did not fully comply with the required ethical requirements before the study began. Although Al-Balqa Applied University IRB approval was claimed in the study, no similar approval was given by King Talal Military Hospital, Royal Medical Services (RMS), from which the electronic patient data originated. This was subsequently corroborated by the corresponding author, who also requested that the article be retracted.

This action was taken after due investigation of the claims from both the anonymous petitioner and the corresponding author, and in the light of the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
